Rob Cowan (Westmount Golf & Country Club) and Dave Bunker (Cherry Hill Club) captured the 44th Ontario Men’s Senior Four-Ball Championship at Meadowbrook Golf Club, firing a 64 (-7) to claim the title.
The victory marks the duo’s second championship win, having previously won the event together in 2024. For Bunker, the win adds to an already impressive season after capturing the Ontario Men’s Senior Championship earlier this summer at Pointe West Golf Club.
Finishing runner-up at five-under-par 66 were Murray Blair (Oshawa Golf & Curling Club) and Fitzgerald Mills (Oshawa Golf Club).
Mills also provided one of the highlights of the championship, recording a hole-in-one on the 190-yard 16th hole!
A tie for third place at 4 under par, 67 included Nigel Hollidge (Lora Bay Golf Club) and Dan Keogh (The Toronto Golf Club), along with the Rattlesnake Point Golf Club pairing of Dave Madill and Lyle Somers.
Back at Meadowbrook
For another year, Meadowbrook Golf Club provided a strong test for competitors, rewarding strategic play, precision, and teamwork throughout the one-day championship.
Playing conditions remained favorable throughout the day, allowing players to take advantage of scoring opportunities while still being challenged by Meadowbrook’s rolling countryside championship layout.
