Kay Lynn Hoo & Max Li Finish the Season on Top at 2026 Ontario Super Camp Invitational

With the golf season coming to a close, Ontario’s best young golfers gathered at The Club at Bond Head for the 7th annual Ontario Super Camp Invitational. Over four days, Ontario’s best junior athletes put their skills to the test through a Super Camp combine and 54 holes of championship golf, all with the prestigious Dave Mills Trophy and one final title of the season on the line.

After three days of championship competition, Max Li and Kay Lynn Hoo mounted impressive comeback victories, capturing their respective divisions and capping off outstanding seasons at The Club at Bond Head.

Boys

Max Li of Summit Golf & Country Club captured the 2026 Ontario Super Camp Invitational Boys’ Division title after emerging victorious in a two-hole playoff, finishing at one-under par with rounds of 73, 71 and 71 for a 54-hole total of 215.

After two rounds of play, Evan Hall held a one-stroke lead heading into the final round at three-under par. Starting the day five shots back, Li carded a final-round 71 (-1) to make a late charge up the leaderboard and force a three-way tie at one-under par alongside Ethan Reid and David Kowalewski.

With the championship needing extra holes to determine a winner, Li kept his momentum rolling and prevailed after a two-hole playoff to claim the Dave Mills Trophy and the season-ending title.

Ethan Reid finished second at 215 (-1), while David Kowalewski secured third after also finishing at 215 (-1).

Girls

Kay Lynn Hoo of Hamilton Golf & Country Club captured the 2026 Ontario Super Camp Invitational Girls’ Division title, finishing at three-over par with rounds of 75, 73 and 71 for a total score of 219.

After two rounds of play, Andrea Lai, the 2026 Ontario Junior Girls’ Amateur champion, led the field by four strokes after carding a second-round 69 (-3). Hoo entered the final round in pursuit of the lead but delivered her strongest performance of the week, firing a one-under-par 71 to complete a championship-clinching comeback.

Florence Ho finished runner-up at four-over par, while Sarah Xing and Amelia McFarlane shared third place at seven-over par.

Golf Ontario would like to express its sincere gratitude to the volunteers, officials, staff, and team at The Club at Bond Head for their exceptional support and hospitality throughout the event. Their contributions helped deliver a memorable season-ending championship for Ontario’s top junior golfers.
