    The Next Wave Program is designed for Ontario’s most promising young athletes—those who are consistently performing at the top of the Junior Golf Pathway Rankings and demonstrating the potential to excel at the next level. Our goal is to support emerging talent by providing early access to high-quality training environments, performance resources, and developmental opportunities that help propel athletes toward future success.

    This program is built for the “next wave” of competitive junior golfers striving toward Team Ontario, Team Canada, collegiate golf, and professional golf. It is meant to complement an athletes existing coaching and training, while offering additional structured support for athletes who may have limited access to team-based programming.

    Invitation & Eligibility Criteria:

    · Boys – Top 32 U17 & Top 10 U15 on the 2025 Junior Golf Pathway Rankings

    · Girls – Top 40 U17, Top 25 U15 on the 2025 Junior Golf Pathway Rankings

    · 2027 Grad Years and below

    · Must be a Golf Ontario Member

     

    By joining the Golf Ontario Next Wave Junior Development Program, participants will gain access to the following:

    · Team Ontario Coaching, encompassing mental, physical, technical, and tactical support.

    · 5 Virtual Strength and Conditioning virtual training sessions with Dr. Nick Martichenko

    · 5 Virtual Mental Performance virtual training sessions with Dr. Charles Fitzsimmons

    · 1 Schedule Strategy Session with Head Provincial Coach Reggie Millage

    · Next Wave program clothing pieces (2 golf shirts and 2 hats)

    · The opportunity to register for additional programing

  • College / University Golf

    Obtaining A Golf Scholarship

    The process of researching, interviewing and deciding on a university or college is a complicated and difficult process. As a service to its aspiring young golfers, Golf Ontario offers seminars designed to assist Junior Boys and Girls, as well as their parents to better understand all aspects of going after a golf scholarship.

    NCAA and NAIA Programs in the United States

    There are numerous Universities and Colleges in the United States that offer complete golf programs with golf scholarships. The most complete source for a listing of schools in the United States can be found on Golf Stat.
