The 2025 Ontario Junior Girls’ Championship returns July 7–10 to the esteemed Loyalist Golf & Country Club, marking the 90th playing of this historic event. First contested in 1927, the Ontario Junior Girls’ Championship stands as the longest-running junior girls’ golf tournament in the province, with a legacy of excellence that includes past champions such as World Golf Hall of Famer Marlene Stewart Streit, LPGA Legend Sandra Post, as well as Olympians Brooke Henderson and Alena Sharp.
Loyalist Golf & Country Club has long been a proud and gracious host of Golf Ontario events, and we are thrilled to be back at a venue that continues to demonstrate its unwavering support for amateur golf. Over the years, Loyalist has hosted numerous championships, including:
- 2022 Ontario Women’s Amateur & Mid-Amateur
- 2021 Ontario Men’s Senior Amateur
- 2020 Ontario Men’s Mid-Amateur
- 2018 Ontario Junior Boys’ Amateur
- 2017 U15 Boys & Girls Championship
- 2016 Ontario Junior Girls’ Amateur
- 2015 Ontario Women’s Senior Amateur & Mid-Amateur

This year’s championship will feature 72 holes of stroke play over four days, showcasing the talent and determination of the top junior female golfers in Ontario. The field includes an exciting mix of returning champions, rising stars, and Team Ontario standouts.
Among the players to watch:
- Avery Nordman (Team Ontario) returns to the Kingston area following a dominant win at the Ontario Women’s Match Play Championship just one month ago. She also captured the 2024 Ontario U17 Girls’ Championship, making her one of the most in-form players heading into the event.
- Riviera Lindholm, the reigning 2025 Ontario Junior Girls’ Champion of Champions, is one of the top U15 players in the province. She recently made a strong showing as a semifinalist at the Ontario Women’s Match Play.
- Kaprice Park (Team Ontario) enters the week hungry for her first Golf Ontario title, after finishing runner-up at the Junior Girls Spring Classic earlier this season.
- Additional Team O players: Kaylan Green, Wendy Li, Alexis Card, Claire Roberts, Sadie Wu, and Amelia McFarlane.
As Ontario’s longest-standing junior girls’ event, the Ontario Junior Girls’ Championship continues to play a vital role in the development of elite female golfers across the province. Many competitors use this platform as a stepping stone to national and collegiate opportunities, and the rich history of this event speaks volumes about its importance to Ontario golf.
Golf Ontario thanks the staff, volunteers, and membership at Loyalist Golf & Country Club for their continued support and hospitality, and looks forward to an exciting week of championship golf.
